Primarily Awesome!
I love fall! There are so many fun things about this time of the year. Like when I'm sitting at the kitchen table and the phone rings and it's my invitation to come to my grandchildren's primary program! Well, I'm all about the stage and I love seeing my grandchildren preform!
Em is the first counselor in the Primary Presidency in her ward. And she got to write their primary program this year. So basically I got to see the whole Umbrell family in the spot light.
The meeting started with Craig conducting. Yup, he's in the Bishopric. Then I got to see all my Umbrell grandkids file in and take their seat. Little Anna was the only one not participating and she sat quietly on Desi's lap throughout the entire program.
All the kids said their parts so cute. We sat in anticipation as to whether Ali would utter a word or not when she got behind the microphone. She doesn't like the lime light and there has been many a talk she's refused to give. I was so proud of her when she stood up and said her part boldly as could be. And I got the biggest kick out of Spencer. Every time he stood to sing, he put his hand up and gave me a little wave. Well now, what grandma's heart doesn't melt with that?
Emilyn had my niece who just got accepted to the BYU music department, write a descant part to the closing number, "I am a child of God." As the music played softly each little Sunbeam stood up and bore witness of the Savior. The spirit attended that finishing number in rich abundance and by the time the last little Sunbeam (3 year olds) stood, there wasn't a dry eye in the place.
It was a beautiful program. Well done Em! And way to go Umbrell family!
Ok, now I'm waiting for my phone call from Corbin to come to his program. Can't wait!

New Missionaries
Let me just say right from the get go, a friendlier pair you'll never meet! And I can't think of a better couple for the job!
A couple of weeks ago I got a call from Gavin. He told me how the Stake President wanted to meet with him and Caroline. He asked me if I thought the Stake President just wanted to visit with them, you know, have a friendly little chat, check up on them, that sort of thing, or if it was something different.
As much as I wanted to give him some comforting reply, I was honest.
"Nope," I said, "I think they are going to give you a calling Gavin."
"It's probably for Caroline, right mom?" he inquired.
"Nope," I said again, "It could be for you."
I like seeing my children sweat, and Gavin was sweating!
After the dreaded meeting with the Stake President, I got a phone call from these two kids. They were on speaker phone and there was a lot of excitement in their voices!
"Mom," I heard Gavin say, "Caroline and I have been called as missionaries to the Spanish speaking Buenaventura Branch!"
The following Sunday, teary eyed, Caroline's told me she has always wanted to serve a mission. She thought she'd have to wait until she was old. Not so! And on the first Sunday they started their new calling, Caroline said they sang "Called To Serve." She could hardly hold back the tears.
This calling couldn't have been issued to two better people for the job. Gavin already speaks Spanish and I loaned Caroline my Spanish CD's. She's frantically studying. They are both so excited.
This little branch is in for a real treat and I know these two kids are going to be a powerful influence for good. I also think they are going to come away with some valuable experience tucked under their belt as well.
Congratulations you two! Usted se va a hacer misioneros excepcional!

Happy Birthday Spencer-Roo
One of the funnest things I get to do as a grandma is take my grandchildren shopping on their birthday. When I picked Spencer up for his shopping spree the other day, he knew right away where he wanted to go. We climbed in the car and it was off to Walmart.
The grandkids are getting smarter. They anticipate the up coming shopping trip and before their birthday even rolls around they are looking continually when they go shopping with their moms for the beloved item they will buy when they are with me.
The Spider Man isle was the first place we headed to when we got in the door. I was amazed at Spencer's ability to weigh out all the factors in making his decision. There was the price to consider and how many things he could get and stay within his budget.
I have botten this child two Spider Man suits, not counting the extra one I bought to keep at my house for him when he comes over. And we would have gone home with a third if he hadn't grown so big.
I kept telling him, "Bud, you just don't fit in that size anymore." He was down right depressed for a bit, but it didn't last long. Soon he was on to new ideas for what he could pick out.
When he finally narrowed it down to four items he wanted, his brain really went into doing some serious calculations. See, given the price he could only pick three out of the four. The next thing I knew he was taking inventory on the shelves; how many of each item was left. He wanted to pick the items with the greatest amount, that way, when he came shopping the next day with his other grandma he could get the fourth item and there would be no chance they were all gone. Now you can't tell me that's not being one smart kid!
That night when Spencer went to bed he told his mother, "I was really smart mom. I got things that cost less so I could get more."
After having no end of fun at Walmart we headed to McDonalds, the one with the huge indoor playground. I wish I could record our conversation over dinner. Seven year olds are much smarter than you think.
Spencer is in a program at his school where he speaks Chinese half the day. His teacher is Chinese and Spencer loves this program. He is always telling me when he leaves my house, "再见 zài jiàn (Zai4jian4) - Translation... Si (long i) Jen. Which means Good-bye.
While we were at McDonalds, Spencer met another child his age. It just happened that this little boy was Chinese. Well, they struck up a friendship immediately and played together until it was time for us to leave.
It didn't surprise me that Spencer made a friend the second another kid walked in. That is how he is, he is a friendly guy. He's also very thoughtful. He'll give things away most kids wouldn't part with if their life depended on it. And to his sisters no less. Spencer is a little boy with a big heart!
Spencer loves to do everything. He is getting to be a really good little golfer and he loves fishing with his grandpa. His grandpa loves fishing with him as well!
I'm a lucky person. I have the best grandkids ever! Spencer you are a wonderful grandson! Grandma loves you sooooooo much! Grandpa too! Then there are all those crazy aunts and uncles who adore you! And cousins who think you're simply spectacular! You are a keeper little boy! Glad you belong to the Crowther Clan! Happy Birthday Bud! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Did I Say You Could Move In With Me?
I don't recall sending out any formal written invitations. There are no signs posted on my house that say "Free Room and Board." Who do they think they are?
I don't know what gave them the idea they could move in with me. Yet that's just what they did; they packed up all their belongings and moved the whole famn Damily right in!
This story is not for the faint of heart! You've been warned.
I tell you, it was providence that saved me! Do you know what providence is? It's important you fully know and understand the meaning behind the word. It's one of the most important words I've ever learned. I now use it in my vocabulary daily! I picked it up from Anne of Green Gables. It was during a section of the movie when Marilla Cuthbert was telling Anne her heartfelt ideas on how she and Mathew were blessed to adopt her. She told Anne on the way up the stairs, "It was providence." After crying my eyes out being so touched with the whole movie, I ran to my dictionary and looked up Marilla's wisdom. There it was... Providence - "The gentle guidance of God!!
Yeserie, in my case that's exactly what it was... providence!
I was headed downstairs to my pig stye unfinished basement. I was B-lining it to my fruit room to be exact. My basement is a mess! I hate going down there. It reminds me I have a dual personality; clean slash dirty.
I was getting ready to do some canning. You know, getting organized for the next day. When I got to the bottom stair I received a text message on my totally tech savvy iPhone, I love that thing. And that's when it struck, providence. I just know God guided me in that very instance and I plopped myself right down on the bottom stair.
I sat down and began to read the message printed on my phone. Then I responded back, and after that I found myself real comfortable sitting there. After all, I had a chance to catch my breath in a spot no one could find me. I took advantage of it. While sitting there I decided to check my emails. That was so much fun I moved right on to Facebook. I can do everything but cook dinner on my iPhone! I think I sat there for nearly twenty minutes. As I was tapping there on my life line responding to my social network in cyber space, out of the corner of my eye I spotted him, a tiny mouse marching right past me.
I gasped, I was utterly in shock.
He wasn't very big and immediately I pole vaulted myself to the top of the stairs and to the shoe box where I keep the mouse traps. My skin was crawling a little bit and I was totally disgusted. Mice are dirty and I was determined to give the poor little fellow a lethal eviction notice.
I could only find one trap and after fetching it from the box I ran right to the fridge, opened the meat drawer and carved off a nice hunk of cheese.
Peanut Butter or Cheese? It's like Cannon or Nikon? So many opinions. I'm a cheese fan, I think cheese has the Nikon cutting edge on luring mice!
I loaded the trap and made my way carefully down the stairs and placed it right where he disappeared behind the Coleman cooler. Then I did the unthinkable. I sat back down on the bottom stair and waited like a cat for the kill! Morbid aren't I?
I was running out of patience when I saw him tip toe from behind his tall fortress green wall (the side of the cooler.) He sauntered right up to the trap and proceeded to dine. He nibbled a bit and then ran back to his hiding place. He did this several times, each time going back and forth hiding and then coming out for more dinner. Some trap? It didn't even move. I was beginning to think this mouse didn't weigh enough to kill himself. I kept thinking with each bite it was sure to go off but it didn't. I was growing agitated now.
After sitting there a long time, I had to go to the bathroom. Clearly disappointed, I made my way up the stairs, turned the corner and barely got myself sat down on the porcelain when I heard the sound. . . S N A P!
I smiled in great satisfaction. It bordered on gloating!
I finished my bodily functions and then went bounding straight upstairs to get Goose. I drug him to the basement with his pint sized black hurst to get rid of the tiny remains. We had no official ceremonial service.
Where there is one there could be two!
Two??? Are you kidding? That would have been nice. How about FIVE? How about SIX? I just keep catching them. Count to date: EIGHT! It's every night. Tomorrow I'm going on a hunting spree for holes in my garage. I've never had trouble with mice. By the way, Goose is sick of his regular trips to the basement now. It's become a ritual.
Long story short; I caught six babies, one mother and one very fat father! Now I'm wondering how many kids they had and did the mother give birth to them in my house or did the whole family follow her in? Are there cousins? Aunts and Uncles? Is a tribal congregation going to follow? Is it a colony?
I can't think about it. I can't talk about it. No questions please.
Today I went to Walmart at 6 AM. I bought a mouse killing arsenal! Tomorrow I'm going to line me up some cats, one's with claws and appetites. I'm also posting a sign in the garage where I'm sure they are making their grand entry.
NO MICE ALLOWED! AND. . . TRESPASSERS WILL BE KILLED!
I know, I'm a heartless wench!
So deal with it!
I just want to tell them, "No I did not say you could move in with me!"
I don't know what gave them the idea they could move in with me. Yet that's just what they did; they packed up all their belongings and moved the whole famn Damily right in!

18 Years Today. I've got to sit down!
I still remember the day I stood in my bedroom in my old house. I can see it all so clearly. I had pulled the elegant white blessing dress from the closet with the intentions of taking it back. It was after Corbin had passed away and there was no sense in keeping it now. I had bought the dress thinking he was going to be a girl. Now there I stood in my bedroom, a mother with empty arms and no baby to wear anything.
The dress was beautiful, long and flowing with delicate lace streaming everywhere. It had satin piping lining the bodice, the sleeves and the hem of the ruffle. A little pink bow dotted the center of the bodice. My heart wrenched in pain as I stood there feeling hallow. I held the dress up in disbelief. Everything felt so dismal standing there looking at it next to an empty cradle at the foot of my bed.
I sat down and I started to cry. Everything hurt inside me and I just sat there trying to gather the courage to think of what I was going to say when I walked into the store to return it. As I sat there in all my agony, that's when the spirit started to swirl all around me, a funny feeling started to come over me and that's when I heard it.
It was audible. I could clearly hear the quiet yet firm voice inside my mind. It was pronounced. Not like normal thoughts that weave in and out. It was clear, and it came like a gentle order, or a heavily weighted suggestion, maybe even with some urgency. As the voice spoke to me, some part of me knew it. I recognized it from somewhere back in time. The voice penetrated my frame of thinking. And then I clearly heard each word, "Don't take the dress back! You will have a daughter born to you that will wear the dress."
Some events in my life are difficult to explain. To tell someone what happened to me that day standing in my bedroom and in other days to follow, cannot be appreciated in any depth or merit by any human listening ear. They were events that were spiritually discerned and to try to give light to them by some earthly explanation is rather impossible. Life is spiritual! My Heavenly Father is present in my life. My Savior is present. The Holy spirit is always slipping in and out of my life. And while I feel inept at stumbling to explain the unexplainable, I do not lack confidence in what I experienced that day. I knew what I heard. I knew it was real. I knew it was true and my frame of being held no lack of faith as I took the dress and gently hung it back in the closet. As I did so, I felt the grief inside my soul lift.
I don't remember the time frame. But time passed and the thoughts that impacted me that day stayed with me. As the pain of losing a child subsided and the time grew near for me to think about having another baby, I always thought about the dress. It was ever present in my mind. When I gave birth to Gage, another boy, I remember thinking my Father in Heaven was toying with me. When I gave birth to Kelson, my seventh child, and fifth boy, I just shook my head heavenward. I was not consumed with doubt in the words I had heard so long ago standing in my bedroom. I just wondered if I had the stamina to follow through with my original plan in having 8 kids.
From the first day I got hooked on that old silly television show "Eight Is Enough," I decided way back then, when I didn't know anything and lived life in a youthful clueless state, I was going to have 8 kids. Man With A Drill just wanted to know why in the world I wanted 8 kids? He also let me know after every baby we didn't have to follow through. He tried to convince me we could stop at anytime. But after each one of our children were born, I still wanted more. I know it sounds crazy, but I wanted to fill up my life with people to love, and people who would love me back! I am just thankful I managed to get Man With A Drill to go along with the idea. Man With A Drill by the way, is a marshmallow!
Nearly five years went by after Goose (Kelson) was born. Seven kids is a lot to handle. I was leaning heavily towards calling it quits when the nagging started in. Yes, I'm telling you serious nagging! The spirit just kept hounding me. It rivaled myself when I am nagging Man With A Drill. It was relentless.
One day I found myself back in my bedroom. The same place I had heard the spirit's instructions with the dress. I should have known to stay out of that room. But this day I was cleaning and I was in no mood to hear voices. Still I was down on my knees (a bad place to be) cleaning under my bed when I pulled out a box. As I lifted the lid I saw the beautiful porcelain doll. I had nearly forgotten about it. It was pretty to look at and hold. It had brown hair and brown eyes just like me.
I thought back to the time I had made the doll. I had taken a class in porcelain doll making from a lady that lived here in my town. I also made three other dolls besides mine. Two for my girls and one for my mom. I had made each doll to look like the person it was being given to. Emilyn's had pretty green eyes, Kaedell's had beautiful blue eyes. The dolls I had made for my mother and I looked identical, both with brown eyes and brown hair.
As I held the doll in my hand reminiscing over how it came to be, that same voice I had heard long ago came back to me. The same feelings came over me. That same spirit began to settle in all around me. I started to get nervous when all the feelings I had experienced before started to return. Then I heard it, that voice, that all familiar voice. It spoke softly, "That doll is not for you," it whispered. "You will have a daughter. She will have brown eyes and brown hair. . . that doll is for her."
I got a little bolder this time, after I heard the voice. I questioned back, "What about me? I made that doll for me."
I know exactly what you are thinking, shake your head if you will, but I really liked my doll! And it gave me a chance to see if I was crazy or if I was really being instructed. So I questioned it back. I trust in this voice. I am familiar with it. I was not afraid to question it.
I should have been surprised when more instructions came, but I wasn't. The voice reasoned with me. "You will have the doll you gave your mother when she passes." That was all it said. After the voice left me, the spirit dissipated and I was left on my knees in a heap.
The tears started to push outward when I started to comprehend what I had experienced. My heart knew it to be true. I could not argue any further. I put the lid back on the box. In the beginning when I pulled the box from under my bed, I was going to put the doll out in my room and display her, now back in the box she went. As I left the room, I had numerous feelings to deal with, feelings of being overwhelmed and of not really wanting another baby.
The days and weeks continued. I started praying over all of this. That was a mistake! Don't pray about things you really want an answer to, because you'll get one! The praying just increased the spirit's continual nagging. And the promptings. . . they just kept coming, and all of it just pressed in on me.
I think the spirit grew tired. The last prominent event that turned the tides happened one day not long after the incident with the doll. It was the middle of the week and I had just gathered the mail. I sat down at the counter and started going through the pile of bills and advertisements. Under it all sat a magazine. It was a porcelain doll magazine advertising many beautiful handmade dolls that could be purchased. The odd thing was, I had never received a magazine like that in my life. I didn't sign up for it. I had no clue as to where it came from. And after that day, I never received another one.
I pulled it from the pile to look at it closer. On the front cover was a beautiful porcelain doll. I noticed she had a name. It was a pretty name clearly printed beneath her. The name was spelled a little different but I liked it. Her name was, "DESEREY,"
I often complain about being an idiot. I know I'm an idiot because that day I stood right up from sitting there on my nice comfortable bar stool and like a bafoon and with not so much as an inkling of what I was about to do, I took the magazine and casually strolled right into my bedroom! Of all places to go with that magazine. I should have seen the train coming! I did not!
When I got into my bedroom, I rummaged through my drawer to find my well used name book. Something pushed me to know what the name meant. After seven kids the pages were practically worn out. I got my money's worth out of that book and I knew it that day as I went flipping through the pages.
I turned to the section with girl names as fast as I could. Then I started to sift through the "Ds" until my eyes fell upon the name, "Desiree'." As I read the meaning printed there the spirit literally engulfed me in such a way I cannot even attempt to give description. I needed my bed under me fast as I read the meaning over and over again. I sat down hard on it, the name book clutched in my hands.
I wanted everyone united in the choice.
The meaning:
~DESIREE'~
~Desired~
~ Longed For~
~A Daughter Fulfilled~
So, of all things, after all of the promptings,
I felt impressed to put it to a family vote.
I felt impressed to put it to a family vote.
Maybe it was my last ditch effort to get out of having another baby.
It was a chance to bring everyone on board.
I wanted everyone to want her.
In my heart,
I knew how they would vote!
I wanted everyone to want her.
In my heart,
I knew how they would vote!
This is the child that would ultimately close our circle of love.
So, one family night,
I scribbled the choice, on a piece of paper.
One more child. . . yes or no?
And so the voting began.
I scribbled the choice, on a piece of paper.
One more child. . . yes or no?
And so the voting began.
This night I would gain support in my spiritual instruction.
The kids sat in a circle.
They were so excited.
They were so excited.
I told them what it meant as I sent the paper around.
One more mouth to feed,
One more person to share everything in life with.
I set up all the implications.
One more mouth to feed,
One more person to share everything in life with.
I set up all the implications.
I did not tell them of my conversations with the spirit.
I wanted them to freely make up their own minds.
The voting was held in strict secrecy so they could be honest.
No one would see how they voted.
The voting was held in strict secrecy so they could be honest.
No one would see how they voted.
Kelson was the last one to get the paper.
He got up from his spot on the floor.
He walked up to me.
I forgot he couldn't read yet.
He took his hands and held them to my ear.
Then he whispered softly to me,
"Mom, which one says yes?"
I still remember him taking his pencil
and putting a small X by the box.
His crooked scratches on paper confirmed his ultimate positive desire.
He had a big grin on his face!
His crooked scratches on paper confirmed his ultimate positive desire.
He had a big grin on his face!
When the paper came back
and we announced the tally,
There was one lone decenter in the group.
There was one lone decenter in the group.
One person who had voted "No."
We all knew the culprit.
As I read the results,
As I read the results,
every one glared at Man With A Drill.
He knew the gig was up when the kids all started giving him a hard time.
"Dad, I can't believe you voted no."
They all hammered on him.
"Well, we don't have enough seat belts."
Was his pathetic cry to save his wallet!
After Des was born she would cry when Man With A Drill would hold her.
I use to taunt him relentlessly,
"She, knows you voted no,"
"She, knows you voted no,"
He has never lived that down.
After that, he brought her an all day sucker home from work every night.
He was trying to win her affections with sugar.
He succeeded!
A daughter fulfilled!
Yup!
Yup!
That's what the name book said.
Everyone was there as she entered the world.
One husband, and seven kids.
We had a pizza party in my hospital room.
She carries the name, "Deserey."
Spelled identically to the magazine that came in the mail.
And on her bed today, sits a porcelain doll.
A beautiful porcelain doll with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was blessed in that beautiful white blessing dress.
Purchased for her brother Corbin.

She's our caboose,
#8.
A testiment to the spirit and my Father In Heaven's love
for me on a day I was filled with grief!
She is part of the great plan God has for me and my family.

She is part of the great plan God has for me and my family.
I'm so thankful I listened to the voice!
Gratitude overwhelms me!
Gratitude overwhelms me!
From day one,
She has been and 'is' a complete JOY,
She cements us together
and is living proof of what mass amounts of love can produce.
Happy Birthday Deserey!
We all love you so much!
You came along and completed our family.
I can't believe today you are 18.
I love you so much!
Now.
if you will all excuse me,
I think I'll sit and cry a while.
My baby is all grown up!
I'm going to miss her being little.
And like her dad always says,
She really is beautiful, clear through!
Happy 18 big ones Scout!
You were Heaven sent!
A beautiful gift from God!
Squeeeeeze!!!

Promised Recipe; Sloppy Jose
New Recipe on
All birds baking
folks!
Don't miss it!
You put it on a baked potato,
That tells you it has to be good!
Note To Self!
I'm an intellegent person. I AM! I keep telling myself this. Maybe in hopes one day my mind will believe it. But then, just when I'm feeling on top of my mental game, I make a decision that obviously states everything opposite of showing any sort of thinking prowess.
Like the other day. I was having a perfectly good day. All of my decisions making skills were right on board. The day was moving along without a hitch. It was late afternoon and I was almost feeling smug in my secure foundation of feeling somewhat intelligent.
And then I made it... one single lethal choice. (Lethal to my wallet that is and to any proof of me haveing a tiny shred of intelligence.) It was a choice that gave strict verification and solidity to measuring me up as a full fledged idiot! I should have known better. I did know better. Yet still, I opened up the doors and boldly walked through without one single shred of thought.
Duh, I plowed my way right through those big metal doors and walked right into Barnes and Noble. BARNES AND NOBLE!!! My voice is HIGHLY ELEVATED HERE! I can't believe it. (slap to head--- thud, thud.)
I actually walked right into one of the biggest book stores in my area and never even stopped, no not for one tiny single second to think clearly about who was following me into that stupid store. Did I forget she was with me? H E L L Ooooooo!
See the look in her eyes? You can see it can't you? Just sit for a minute and concentrate on the image before you. Look straight into those big deep dark succulent brown eyes just for a second or two and the image will spring to life. She is slowly shaking her little pointed head up and down. The wheels are spinning, her brilliant fiendish mind thinking, "Oh ya, I'm in a book store, and she's a sucker!" I shouldn't be so hard on myself. I doubt any person with mass amounts of intelligence could say no under that kind of spell bound pressure.
It took me fifteen minutes to find her after we got inside the store. She disappeared like a cat the second I turned my back to her. I was only there to get a birthday gift. I should have gotten one of those little doggy harnesses and clipped her to me. When I finally tracked her down she was so absorbed in the book she was looking at that I just had to crack out my phone and take her picture and laugh at all my silly stupidity.
"Mom, can I have this book, and this book, Oh... and this one looks really good too. Can I, can I, can I, Pulllleeeease!" Then she launched into her case like a shrewd rich attorney in a heated hands down battle.
I'm not going to go over the bill with you. Nope, I'm not going to show you the receipt ---proof of pulling a complete no brainer! I was too mentally upset to take a picture of her with her stack of pricey reading material as we made our mass exodus from the building. I didn't need any picture reminding me I have mush for brains! After eight kids something is broken inside me, I can't say 'NO' anymore. Her pleadings are too severe. I can't help it, I'm tired, worn out and I always cave!
It's confirmed. Yes indeedy! I'm an idiot.
(Note to self. Leave Des home when going near any establishment that sells books!)
Uuuugh!
PS, Des, you are a worm! You are a really cute worm, but still. . . a worm!

2010 Annual Crowther Golf Scramble Woot! Woot!
Thanks to Gage and Missy, we now have another fun on going tradition, "The Anual Crowther Golf Tournament." This year we had to 'scramble' to get it on the August schedule, but Gage and Missy persevered and we made it! Eagle Mt. is always our course of choice. (Every year they run a cheap deal for families and we take advantage of it.) This year was a blast as usual!
As we line up there is always lots of heckling off the first tee.
The plan is to make everyone so nervous they can't hit the ball!
It usually works!
The plan is to make everyone so nervous they can't hit the ball!
It usually works!
The kids love this night for about the first four holes.
After that they finally figure out that no one
is ever going to let them swing.
After that they finally figure out that no one
is ever going to let them swing.
Everybody hopes they can draw out Craig for a partner.
He's a really good golfer!
You can see Corbs cheering for him in the background.
You can see Corbs cheering for him in the background.
Emy must be having a good game, she's got a big smile on her face!
Either that or she's really happy she's finally on the green!
Either that or she's really happy she's finally on the green!
Jace is an adopted Crowther child. Every year we invite him to join in.
He's Orphan Boy! We can't golf without our orphan boy!
He's Orphan Boy! We can't golf without our orphan boy!
Now if only Gavin swung as good as he dresses! Hahahahah
Love the swanky hat Gav!
Who's that speeding by to the next hole?
It's Haley and Seth!
Spencer has to tell them which way to go.
Spencer has to tell them which way to go.
These kids are having a serious conversation,
It went something like this,
"How come they get to have all the fun?"
"Ya, this is a rip off!"
It went something like this,
"How come they get to have all the fun?"
"Ya, this is a rip off!"
Anna takes the wheel!
"If I can't golf, I"ll drive the cart"
She's no dummy!
"If I can't golf, I"ll drive the cart"
She's no dummy!
Never underestimate the power of a woman on the team!
Right girls?
Spencer and Ali decided to ride with the fun people!
Spencer deducted early on in the game,
Spencer deducted early on in the game,
"They're golfing sucks,
but at least they're really, really fun!" hahahahah
We tried to keep an eye on the teams ahead of us.
You know, in case there was any cheating going on.
Gavin was on my team
so he got lots of pictures taken of his pro like game.
so he got lots of pictures taken of his pro like game.
"Don't worry Mother, we're losing!"
I'm pretty sure that's what she said?
I'm pretty sure that's what she said?
The kids decided they'd golf with the sticks since no one
would hand them a club!
Corbin is still perplexed over how come the kids
have to watch the adults have fun.
He's thinking,
"Isn't it suppose to be the other way around?"
would hand them a club!
Corbin is still perplexed over how come the kids
have to watch the adults have fun.
He's thinking,
"Isn't it suppose to be the other way around?"
The littlest driver! Look out!
Everyone waits for Gage to putt.
I notice he's not all that close to the hole.
I notice he's not all that close to the hole.
"Is this your third putt Gage or your fourth?"
(Snicker, snicker)
(Snicker, snicker)
Spencer has taken up golf for reals.
Don't let his pint size body frame fool you.
Don't let his pint size body frame fool you.
Next year there are going to be some people
who want to trade in their partner
who want to trade in their partner
for this kid!
The night was so much fun!
And Caroline's cute smile proves it!
And Caroline's cute smile proves it!
Everybody had a good time.
And the weather was perfect. Just like Ali, sunny and bright!
Craig is going for the distance! Man can he ever whack the ball!
Gavin had to yell at Man With A Drill several times to
"Get off the phone!"
"Get off the phone!"
"Dad, no talking on the phone while I'm putting!"
I think that's what Gavin kept saying!
We finally took the phone away from him!
Kate makes a good caddy!
My team members! We rocked till the end,
Then we fell apart.
Then we fell apart.
Kyle sizes up the putt!
Craig gives instructions to his riders.
"Now listen folks, we've got to win!"
"Now listen folks, we've got to win!"
Ali has a new place she'd like to T-up the ball. Hee hee
What's our score guys?
ArE We WiNNiNg????
NOOOooooooo
ArE We WiNNiNg????
NOOOooooooo
Gee I have a great family!
Dodging the sprinklers while we head home.
Way to go Crowther Clan!
Thank you Gage and Missy!
Caitlyn Cluff and Goose.
After figuring up all the scores we decided Goose was pretty smart,
Caitlyn plays for Weber State, and man is she ever good!
After watching her Golf, all the men were complaining,
"Next year can we bring dates and leave our wives home?"
"Next year can we bring dates and leave our wives home?"
Fun night family of mine! Can't wait until next year rolls around again!
