Perhaps Love! No Doubt About It!

We had a pretty spectacular event the other night.

We're adding a very special person to the Crow's Nest!

Yes! Again......... Hahahahahah

We worked round the clock to get it all ready.

Deserey was the master designer, it was therapeutic for her.

She's going to miss her number one sidekick!

Afterall they are BFF's!

As for me, I just followed orders, I just did what I was told by her and Goose.

We had lots of helping hands. 

The whole family pitched in.

Getting ready for the night was as much fun as the night itself!

Jaqueline's grandparents pulled up a seat by the fire. 

They were ready for the show to begin.

It was a little chilly, but not bad. 

The wind blew all day, threatening to ruin the whole shabang.

I had faith.

Just an hour before we started to assemble every thing the wind calmed right down.

Everyone was so EXCITED!!!

Happy faces everywhere!

Anticipation spilling out all over the place!

Goose wanted an audience for the big event.

He did the inviting.

His friends and both families.

Gavin was ready with the video camera.

Jackie's cute little sisters Alison and Sarah, were anticipating the very first engagement in their family.

Jacqueline is the oldest of four girls.

Her sister Julia is in China. She cried on the phone to her mom and 

later told Jackie, she had avoided her phone calls all day that day because she knew she

would spill the beans.

Twelve roses were passed out.
12 Beautiful white roses!

One for each sign on the path.
A representation of how love grew.

The cutest picture of the night were two little boys waiting for a helicopter to appear!

They waited there forever.

Spencer and Corbin were our eagle eyes. 

They watched patiently for the sight and sound of rotors turning.

Finally on the horizon we heard them coming!

The whirling sound of an engine in the sky.

Kelson made up a big fib to Jackie about how Gavin and Caroline had turned down a free helicopter ride because Caroline was feeling terrible with morning sickness.

Jackie bought the wild tale line, hook and sinker. 

She threw on her duds and thought she was headed for a fun ride.

The pilot a great friend of ours, flew them over Big Ben and over Willard Peak, they got to see a heard of Mountain Sheep and then the pilot said, "Kelson, do you want to fly over your house?"

"Sure!" Came Kelsons casual response. 

The pilot circled the house and from the air, 

The big long red runner on the ground looked like a picnic table from the sky.

Jackie said to Kelson, "Look your family is all there. They're eating! How come they didn't invite us?"

I laughed so hard when she told me that.

Kelson said, "Well for rude, lets ask them."

And then he asked the pilot if he could set the chopper down.

And as if nothing at all had been planned and exicuted,
Next thing they knew,

They were on the ground.

Touchdown!

Jackie was a little surprised when she thought she saw her mother.

She told Kelson, "That can't be my mother, I think I saw my mother."

Yup, that's your mother Jackie!

Des had made all the signs to line the red carpet.

We gathered every heart rock I've ever saved and put them along the edge.

It all symbolized the long line of events that led to this beautiful night.

From the first time Desi learned Kelson's heart was falling for Jackie,

She started calling Kelson Schmoopie Poo!

At first Kelson's face would turn all red.

Then it became his inherited title he relished with pride.

I think that's when Jackie started calling him Schmoopie poo, too.

Seth was our electrician and our man power. 

He came over and helped us with all the lights and planting the signs in the ground.

We filled mason jars with candles and tied ribbions around the necks of each jar.

The path was glimmering with the soft flicker of light from each 1/2 pint glass bottle.

When Jackie finally figured out what was taking place,

She was in a state of shock. 

Grinning from ear to ear! She didn't think the ring was coming till April.

Kelson tried hard to explain each sign.

And finally they made their way to the last one, under the tent.

There were hugs along the way

Hugs for people who have been prominent throughout these two kids lives.

Lots of hugs.

And more hugs and a few tears. 

An extra long hug for Jackie's dad.

And finally the moment these two kids had longed for.

Kelson knelt down on one knee and asked the important question.

There was an excited "YES!"

A perfect fit!

Kissing and a very long embrace.

And a call for a speech!

It really was grand!

They made their way back to the chopper

Kissed,

Climbed on board.

And flew away!

Yes, I cried!
It was the perfect night!

I'm a lucky mother.

I have the best kids in the whole world.

In turn, my children have chosen the most amazing people to share their lives with.

I'm so happy to have you in my family.

I love you, cute girl!!!
