Happy Birthday Gavin

Happy Birthday!

To my crazy kid!

The one who always makes me laugh!

He loves Mt. Dew. When he's 90, it won't be Pepsi sustaining his life, like my mom. No, it will be Mt. Dew. He drinks enough to own half the company by now.
He's going to be a dad this year and he's thinking his life will be over. His philosophy is, "Kids ruin your life." I'm sure this philosophy is going to change.
He has zero patience. He gets that from me.
He likes to have fun and fun follows him everywhere. I think that's because even if it isn't fun, he will make it fun. Fun is an attitude with him. It's like his main core personality trait.
He's a nurse. And this fits him. He's always been a care taker of souls.
And for the reccord, I'm his number one fan. Though Caroline would argue with me over that.
I love you Gav. If I'm having a crappy shizzy day, and you call me up, which you always do, my day immediately gets so much better. Thanks for not only being my son, but for being my best friend. You are immediate sunshine to my soul.
Dad and I love you! As well as the entire Clan. Happy Birthday!

Welcome To Midtown

This morning I got a phone call. The voice on the other end said, "Help."

I love it when my kids call for aide from their mother. Since they are always helping me out, I love returning the favor.

Gav has a new job and he needed a short blurb to introduce himself for the news letter.  I guess he thinks I'm a good blurber! Actually Gavin is a good blurber, I just embellished it.

Congratulations Gav on your new Job! He's a Laketown man and a Midtown man now!

News Letter Blurb: Introducing, "Gavin R. Crowther ---Dweller of the fields.

Are you wondering, “Who is Gavin Crowther?” My name has many meanings. The original Welsh version means, “White Hawk Of Battle.” I am 1 of 8 kids. I have 4 brothers; “XBox” is where I battle. When I'm not working, I have many passions in life: In the spring you’ll find me on a distant trail on a motor bike; in the summer, on a board behind a boat; in the fall, you’ll find me on a mountain stream with a fly rod secured tightly in my hand because I’m reeling in a monster fish; and in the winter, you can find me practicing on a mountain in the powder, hoping in my next life I can be featured in a Warren Miller Ski film. Cleveland, Ohio is my birthplace, which explains my strange allegiance to teams such as the Browns (football), and the Indians (baseball).  I love a good nurse; literally my wife is a nurse at McKay Dee Cardiology.  I enjoy helping others and find great satisfaction in being a part of a winning team.  What I have learned so far is the Team here at Midtown is exactly that. I look forward to contributing to its success.

Great job ---White Hawk! They are going to love you!

Happy Anniversary Kids!

Last night I pulled a 3 A.M.-er. Had a wedding to punch out. This morning I woke up to a little beeping noise on my computer. Someone's having an anniversary today!

Being the Blog crazed woman I am, I immediately began looking through photos on my hard drive. Wow, what a walk down memory lane that was. Love it! I love my hard drive! Does that sound bad? Well, ya gotta love a good hard drive! LOL! Ok, so I'm a little on the groggy side. It's early and I got no sleep. Wow, I'm getting bold in my blogging days!

Ran across this picture. I wish I had taken up photography when Emilyn got married. Then I could post random pictures of all my kids on their wedding day.

I don't know, do you think we have grown a bit?  I was reminiscing as I flipped through one photo after another. Gage was on his mission when all this was taking place. And ...I'm looking at my grandkids in this picture, and I'm amazed at how fast time flies. Ali, who is a baby in this photo, is almost five, Corbin and Spencer are just cute little buckaroos! And Kate ... well, I'm taking her out today for her 9th birthday. I'm crying now! These people ...they are everything to me. They are my life, my joy, my entire reason for wanting to survive! They are my one and all! The soul source of all my deepest happiness!

I don't want to be sarcastic here ...but it's a good thing I found this picture and I know how to use a hard drive! Ok, I'm going back to bed. This is not good!

Happy Anniversary you two kids! That was such a happy day back then, and one I will be forever thankful for.  I'm so glad Gavin made the choice he made. Caroline is a keeper! And I love you both! Now, go on out and celebrate! Put that hard drive to use and store some pictures on it! Hahahha

Love YOU! Happy Day!!!

Meet The Newest Nurse

As you can see, he's a pretty happy guy!

And for a good reason...
He just became a nurse!

I had to laugh when the Vice President of the D.A.T.C, Jay Greaves
called Gavin and Caroline up to the pulpit.

Caroline also graduated from the D.A.T.C and just two days ago
she was awarded "Nurse of The Year."
This is no slouchy award.
Out of about 30 thousand nurses, 600 of them were nominated.
Caroline, who manages a large staff of nurses for Intermountain Medical at McKay Dee.
was presented with this award.

Jay asked her and Gavin to come up. Paid tribute to them both and
asked Caroline to share a few words.
It was awesome!

The night got even better when Gavin got up to speak.
All of his peers chose him to represent them all.
His speech was the best one of the night.
His wit and charm was all over the place!
No, I'm not prejudice.
Ask anyone who was there.
He had everyone laughing and crying.
It was a a speech that had it all!

Finally it was time to hand out the diplomas.

Caroline got to do the pinning.
If you are nurse you get to pin another nurse!

Pretty happy moment for husband and wife!

So now, when you need a good nurse,
I know a super fantastic pair!

Awesome night Gavin!

You make a spectacular looking graduate!
Congratulations ---squeeze!
WE LOVE YOU!!!
